Every great surgical outcome begins with how a surgeon is trained.
MedtoMarket is the bioskills and medical innovation platform where the world's leading device companies prove their technology, and the surgeons who use it become masters of it. Built by physicians, to the highest standard in medicine.
We exist for the moment a surgeon's hands meet a patient. Train that moment to perfection, and medicine gets better for everyone.
Behind every medical device is a surgeon who must use it flawlessly, and a patient whose life depends on it. MedtoMarket is where that expertise is built, the standard the medical world trains to, and the partner the industry's best return to again and again.
What can't be replicated with square footage.
Anyone can lease a building and rent a C-arm. The reasons M2M is the standard, and the reason the industry keeps coming back, aren't for sale.
Physician-founded, physician-led
M2M was built and is run by three practicing physicians who know firsthand what separates a competent surgeon from an exceptional one, and what's at stake when training falls short. That clinical judgment shapes every program we design. It isn't something a venue operator can hire into existence.
Built around the mission, not the building
M2M exists for one moment: when a surgeon's hands meet a patient. Every program is built to train that moment to perfection, and to carry a device from first validation to confident, repeat use in the field. That mission, and the platform built to deliver it, is what the industry's best return to again and again, and what no venue can copy.
Control of the entire experience
From specimen supply through faculty and OR-grade imaging, M2M owns or directly controls every variable that makes a program work. Tissue is sourced through our own vertically integrated supply, not brokered, not uncertain. Imaging is owned, not rented. Nothing critical to your program hinges on a third party's calendar.
A faculty network, not just a facility
Our programs are built around the named surgeon experts the field already trusts, coaches who turn exposure into proficiency, not lecturers who fill a slide deck. That network, and the relationships behind it, are what turn a room full of equipment into an institution surgeons want to learn from.
Staffed by working hospital OR clinicians
Our surgical technicians and nurses aren't temporary hires. They are clinicians who still work in real hospital operating rooms, the same people who scrub in on live cases. They run your lab, so the standards, instincts, and discipline of a working OR are in the room from the first specimen.
Real-world experience, hospital-grade support
Because that staff practices in active ORs, they bring genuine case experience to every lab and support each program the way a hospital supports its surgeons. Instrumentation, setup, and flow are handled to the highest clinical standard, so faculty and attendees can focus entirely on the work. These are the best in the field, not just hired hands.
The teams who train here, in their words.
Competing device makers, hospital programs, and EMS educators choose the same neutral ground. Here is what they say after a lab at M2M.
A non-biased, non-company-specific space to perform these education labs is wonderful: a great facility, and a first-class experience.”
“One of the nicest labs in the country: staff, facility, everything next level. We should be running more of our labs here.”
“Super clean and well-organized. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful all weekend, and helped us run a smooth course.”
“Great working with the M2M team. The staff and facility were excellent, and we hope to be back in the future.”
“The facility was beautiful and the staff were wonderful, genuinely accommodating and welcoming throughout.”
“A wonderful experience as a nurse. The lab brought so much more to the learning experience. Thank you for everything.”
“The staff and facility were excellent, and the support for our paramedic students was greatly appreciated.”
One platform across the full arc of medical innovation.
M2M is more than a training venue. It is the commercialization platform that takes a device from the engineer's bench to confident, capable hands in the operating room.

Ready to bring your program to Austin?
Reserve lab time, imaging, theater, and faculty for your next launch, validation lab, course, or symposium.
The doctors you trained once, made proficient.
A big launch creates exposure. The M2M Academy, currently in pilot, creates adoption: smaller, focused weekday sessions that take your lower-utilization surgeons through repeated, coached practice until your product becomes part of how they operate. Better proficiency, deeper adoption, measurable ROI.
The advantages you can't rent anywhere else.
What you can't rent is the part that matters most: the physicians, the method, and the judgment behind every program. The building is the easy part.
Physician judgment, not a venue operator
M2M is built and led by practicing physicians who know, from the table, what makes a surgeon truly proficient with your device, and what a poorly run program costs you. That clinical judgment shapes how every lab is designed, taught, and refined. It can't be hired into a building.
A training platform, not a room
What you're really buying is method: how a surgeon is carried from first exposure to confident, repeat use of your technology. The curriculum, the coaching, the way the day is run, and the metrics behind it are the product. The space is only where it happens.
A standard the field already trusts
Programs are built around named faculty surgeons respect, run with regulatory rigor and a level of preparation other sites don't bring. Surgeons feel the difference and ask to come back. That reputation and relationship network can't be rebuilt overnight, or rented at all.
And the facility to match
Beneath all of it sits the infrastructure to deliver: the only large-scale, OR-grade bioskills facility in Texas and the Southern U.S., with owned imaging, robotics-ready labs, and a 170-seat theater. Essential, but it is the floor, not the difference.
Put a clinical team behind your decisions.
Beyond the lab, M2M stands up tailored, multidisciplinary consulting teams scoped to the decision in front of you. We pair practicing physicians, perioperative nurses, certified surgical technologists, and device product specialists with founder-level commercial and financial expertise, turning clinical insight into conclusions you can defend to a board.
Tailored multidisciplinary panels
We assemble a team purpose-built for your objective, drawn from the same clinical bench that runs our labs: surgeons and specialty physicians, perioperative nurses, certified surgical technologists, and device product specialists. Every engagement is scoped, governed under NDA, and structured around defined deliverables and clear go / no-go criteria.
Clinical & design evaluation
Structured assessment of your device across clinical performance, ergonomics and human factors, workflow integration, and failure-mode analysis. We surface usability and adoption barriers early and deliver prioritized, regulatory-aware findings, evidence rather than impressions.
Randomized, blinded head-to-head studies
When the question is how you compare, we design and run randomized, blinded comparative evaluations against competitor devices under controlled, OR-grade conditions. The output is credible, defensible benchmarking data suitable for internal decision-making, marketing-claims support, and KOL engagement.
Acquisition diligence & financial analysis
Weighing an acquisition? We conduct clinical and commercial due diligence on prospective targets, evaluating technology, clinical fit, and adoption risk. Through one of our founders, we bring direct M&A and financial-analysis experience, including valuation framing and commercial-diligence support, when the decision is a transaction.

Real tissue is the foundation.
Simulation, AI, and high-fidelity manikins have a real and growing place in surgical education. They build repetition, rehearse decision-making, and lower the cost of early reps, and we respect that role. But mastery is earned on tissue that behaves like a patient's. Real-tissue, cadaveric training is the foundation of everything we do and, in our view, the best way to prepare a surgeon's hands and judgment. We are developing simulation programs to sit alongside that core, never in place of it.
Rehearse
Simulation and digital tools build repetition, familiarity, and decision-making at low stakes and high volume.
Master the technique
The irreplaceable core: true haptics, anatomical variability, and tissue behavior no model reproduces. This is where skill is made.
Carry it to the OR
Proven technique and confidence transfer to the live operating room, where it matters most.

From access to mastery.
Most surgeons are trained on a device once. Few ever become truly expert. The M2M Academy is a structured, certified pathway, now in pilot, that takes physicians from competent to exceptional, so the best techniques reach more patients.
A single lab creates exposure. It rarely creates expertise.
Across most device categories, a small share of surgeons perform the large majority of procedures. The rest were trained, but never became confident, high-utilization users. Large launch labs introduce a product; they don't, on their own, change how a surgeon practices weeks later.
The Academy is built to close exactly that gap.
Repeated, coached practice, until the product becomes second nature.
Small-group, weekday
Focused sessions Monday-Thursday in a one-to-few setting, the opposite of the crowded, one-shot launch lab.
Multiple touchpoints
A structured progression over weeks, with measurable feedback course over course, not a single afternoon.
Competent → exceptional
Surgeons leave as confident, repeat users, the difference patients ultimately feel.
Value on both sides of the table.
- For device partners: measurable ROI through deeper adoption, and recurring revenue independent of any single launch.
- For physicians & groups: genuine proficiency, higher procedure confidence, and a credential that signals it.
- Built by surgeon faculty: a proprietary, accreditable curriculum, not a repackaged weekend course.
- An M2M certification standard: a mark that means a surgeon has truly demonstrated proficiency.
Now in pilot.
The Academy is live in pilot with our first physician cohort, and we're scoping its first device-partner programs. We'd rather prove it than oversell it, if you'd like to shape an early program, let's talk.

We're not just a venue. We're your med-device
performance partner.
MedtoMarket exists to give medical device companies and physicians the kind of performance training the world reserves for its elite athletes, and to give the technology that defines surgery a place to prove itself.
For generations, surgical training meant "see one, do one, teach one", learning the highest-stakes craft in the world, on the job, on patients. We believe that's backwards. Athletes earn mastery through thousands of deliberate reps, expert coaching, and the best technology available. We built the facility to give medicine the same.
Founded by three physicians who lived the gap, MedtoMarket is the only large-scale bioskills institution in Texas and the Southern U.S., and the start of a larger ambition: to raise the standard of physician performance, everywhere.
Built by three physicians who earned the right to teach.
Dr. Aaron A. Ali
Before medicine, Aaron served enlisted in the Army Air Cavalry as a crew chief on OH-58 Scout helicopters. He carried that discipline into medicine, class president, then chief resident at Duke, built and led an Austin anesthesia group as founding CEO, advised device companies, and mentored startups from concept to funding. He founded M2M to rebuild how physicians are trained.
Dr. John P. Sabra
A decorated Navy Lieutenant Commander and combat trauma surgeon, four Persian Gulf tours supporting the Marines, and earning the Meritorious Service Medal. Today a board-certified general and trauma surgeon, endocrine surgeon, and the Chief Medical Officer for Formula 1, WEC, and MotoGP at the Circuit of the Americas. He has operated in high stakes environments where failure was not an option, and teaches surgeons to perform the same way.
Dr. John Schlitt
The medtech insider of the three. A Duke-trained anesthesiologist who built a second career inside the device industry, physician education, marketing, M&A, and intellectual-property development. He knows exactly how a device travels from a good idea to a surgeon's hands, because he's worked every step of that journey, and brings that playbook to every program M2M runs.
Board & Leadership Team
Dennis James
An attorney and finance executive who serves as M2M's chief financial officer, chief operating officer, and general counsel. He holds degrees in finance, a JD, and an MBA, with a career spanning C-level and board roles in early-stage companies across several industries.
Dr. John Uecker
A general surgeon with more than 20 years in practice and Chief of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at UT Dell Medical School. He is co-founder and CEO of ClearCam, an Austin medical-device company, and brings both the surgeon's and the device-builder's perspective to M2M.
Dr. David Laverty
A fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopaedic trauma surgeon practicing in Austin and on the teaching faculty of Dell Medical School's Orthopaedic Surgery Residency. He earned his MD at the University of Iowa and serves as chief orthopaedic surgeon for Circuit of the Americas.
Adrian Lufschanowski
A real-estate investor and operator who has specialized in workforce housing since 2008. He works with family offices and private investors across both debt and equity, and co-invests alongside his partners in the projects they sponsor.
Tano Lucero
A healthcare supply-chain and materials-management veteran with two decades in the field, including surgical-instrument and implant management at Ascension Seton. At M2M he built the lab's operating, tissue-intake, and inventory systems and runs day-to-day OEM accounts, quoting, and lab execution.
How we got here.
The idea takes shape
Three physicians set out to build the training center they wished had existed, a place where medicine could be practiced before it's performed.
A partnership that proved the model
M2M secured its first facility-use commitment and partnered with a regional hospital network to run a series of organized cadaveric labs, among the first of their kind in the area. The early programs showed that physician-led, OR-grade training could be delivered with hospital-level rigor.
From borrowed space to a permanent vision
As demand outgrew shared and partnered facilities, the founders committed to building a dedicated institution, designed around the operating room rather than adapted to fit one.
The doors open in South Austin
31,683 square feet in the St. Elmo District open as a purpose-built medical innovation and education center.
The standard in the region
Four training bays, 37 stations, six owned C-arms, robotics-ready labs, and a 170-seat theater, serving the device companies and physicians defining the future of surgery.
Anchor for a national platform
With the model proven and the only institution of its scale in the region, M2M is built to grow well beyond a single facility. The path ahead is expansion, scaling capacity, geography, and programs, and extending a proven, physician-led platform toward a national footprint for surgical performance training and device commercialization.
